A car bomb has been blown up outside the building. Moments earlier a mysterious package arrives at the station, directed to Thorhall, an experienced detective, who is charged with investigating the case. Later that day, an elderly man is found murdered at a garage in Kopavog. Thorhall and his colleagues in the detective department are under pressure to solve the cases quickly, but soon it turns out that they seem to stretch all around the society.

Are terrorists taking action in Iceland? Is the murder and the explosion connected? Why does the name of the government’s economic adviser repeatedly come up in connection with the investigation of the cases?

Jón Pálsson has previously published poetry books and novels and now he presents his inaugural crime story, where an exciting scenario is woven in with an expedition through the Icelandic society of the 21st century.
